Le domaine

Château Bas d'Aumelas has been a family estate for 200 years. Jean-Philippe and Geoffroy D'Albenas are the 12th generation. The two brothers have always been fascinated by this building surrounded by greenery, used as a holiday home during their childhood.

The strength of the elder

Jean-Philippe D'Albenas is the eldest child in the family. This lover of the land spontaneously took on the management of vine-growing and wine-making. After obtaining his farm manager's certificate, he broadened his training through a number of experiences. Jean-Philippe pays particular attention to his vines. The winegrower's duty is to understand and accept the individuality of his terroir.

The creativity of the younger

Geoffroy D'Albenas embodies the dynamism of the Château. His business studies specialising in wine have enabled him to establish the estate's vintages in France and abroad. Thanks to his determination and imagination, he has turned Château Bas d'Aumelas into a unique and peacefull place. His investment in the renovation of this historic building has created an authentic and distinctive venue for receptions.

A brotherly symbiosis

The two brothers have combined their strengths to make Château Bas one of the region's most important places. Keen to respect this beautiful green setting, they chose organic farming from the start. But the two brothers go beyond the label with a philosophy of preserving the region's natural and historical heritage.
